Andrew Fretwell comes from England and was born on the 12th of
May 1957. he has been studying and practicing the principles
of Chinese Medicine & the Oriental Healing arts for
23 years.
Andrew spent much of his early youth in the music business.
Chart topping success with the band Shy, with hits on the
British pop charts. He traveled extensively to most of the
world and worked with such major recording artists as Tina
Turner, Showaddywaddy, Shaking Stevens and Squeeze.
At the same time that he was pursuing his music career
he developed a keen interest in natural health care and
eventually became a teacher of Shiatsu, Qi
Qong, Yoga, Tai Chi, &
Macrobiotics. He studied & practiced these at the Kushi
Institute East West Center in Central London in the UK.
After qualifying he became an integral part of the Kushi
Institute, helping manage the center and putting on cutting
edge health programs targeted at the city workers in Central
London for over 8 years.
He moved to the USA in 1994. While in the USA he qualified
as an International Universal Tao instructor under the direct
supervision of one of the leading Taoist teachers in the
world today, Master Mantak Chia.
He has been personally authorized by Mantak Chia to teach
the International Universal Tao practices to others, and
has taught internationally in USA, Canada, Europe and the
Far East. In May of 2003 Mantak Chia made Andrew a Senior
Instructor of the Universal Healing Tao System.
Andrew has a wide range of hands on bodywork experience.
He has assisted people using Shiatsu and Chi
Nei Tsang. Chi Nei Tsang is a powerful abdominal massage
technique that is unique in its speed of effectiveness,
and the profound health changes it can bring about. Andrew
is certificated to teach and practice Chi Nei Tsang by Mantak Chia.
